Hotel NH Podium

In the Ensanche district of downtown Barcelona, the five storey NH Hotel Podium is situated 200 meters from the towering Arc de Triomph, 700 meters from Plaza Catalunya. Although the hotel has been fully modernized, it retains its late 19th century modernist fasade. The 145 guestrooms combine muted creams, grays and blues to create a contemporary ambiance. All include direct dial telephones, satellite television, high speed internet access, minibars and air conditioning, as well as offering complimentary toiletries and newspapers. Guests can choose what type of pillow they have firm, soft or duvet.
Drinking and dining options include a restaurant, cocktail bar and cafe and outdoor swimming pool, and there are eight function rooms, which can accommodate from 10 to 200 people. The hotel can also arrange a shuttle service to and from the airport. The lovely Parc de la Ciutadela with its fountains and tropical glasshouses is a 500 meter walk from the hotel, or guests can explore the sites of Ensanche with its Modernist art and architecture, such as Gaudi's unfinished Temple Expiadori de la Sagrada Familia, approximately one kilometer from the hotel. Barcelona airport is 15 kilometers away, with direct, half hourly trains to Arc de Triomph station, less than two blocks from the hotel.
