It’s time for party and Barcelona is an ideal place to spend the New Years eve. There are many places to go but you can just spend the night on a pub crawling around las ramblas, going from bar to bar that will be open until dawn. At twelwe o’clock go to Plaza Catalunya and, following the spanish tradition, eat a grain grape for each of the twelwe chimes. Don’t you eat them too fast !!!

Christmas is a great time for spending it at Barcelona. Main reasons are the mild weather and the shopping. Barcelona is famous for its shopping streets covering mainly it’s city centre with paseo gracia, topped of main chain stores as zara, mango h&m and expensive design shops as armani, zegna or chanel. Barcelona World Race took off from Barcelona seafront on Sunday 11th of November. This race consists in a non-stop round the world yacht race departing and arriving from Barcelona. The yatch are piloted by teams of two sailors that compete against other teams of two. The course goes around the world sailing across the five oceans. Never before has a two-handed, non-stop around the world race been staged and there has never been a crewed, non-stop round the world race in monohulls

Barcelona will host the 3GSM conference from 11 to 14 of february 2008. This mobile world congress is the largest mobile event in the world. This congress tooks place in La Fira of Barcelona.
